At MyAirbags, we take pride in the quality of our repair services and strive to ensure customer satisfaction. This Warranty & Refund Policy outlines how we evaluate returns and refunds for services performed, including procedures customers must follow before a refund can be issued.
By using our services, you agree to abide by the terms in this policy.
Shipping charges and bench test fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
1. Warranty Coverage, Exclusions & Limitations
MyAirbags warrants only the specific repair work performed on a unit and does not guarantee the performance of unrelated components or systems. MyAirbags also holds the right to repair the item at no additional cost or provide a refund equivalent to the initial repair fee paid by the customer when a malfunction is attributed to failed components or substandard workmanship within the warranty period.
This warranty is exclusively for the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Warranty coverage is also subject to the lifespan of the product or system into which it is integrated.
If a component fails within the warranty period due to issues directly related to the original repair, the customer may return the unit to MyAirbags for evaluation.
Customers must contact MyAirbags for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before sending back any unit. Units returned without authorization may not be accepted.
1.1 Termination of Warranty & Void Conditions
- Warranty is void if the unit is tampered with, installed incorrectly, damaged during shipping, or replaced independently.
- Warranty is not transferable.
- Refunds, partial refunds, order cancellations, or disputes automatically void warranty coverage.
- MyAirbags reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.
1.2 Seat Belt Repairs
At MyAirbags, customer satisfaction is our top priority. We guarantee that every seat belt repair will function like new mechanically. This includes:
- The initial lock mechanism operating flawlessly.
- Proper retraction and detraction.
- Each repaired seat belt will retract upon delivery when installed correctly in the vehicle and will lock 100% of the time as designed.
- In the event of a collision, the gas charge will ignite via the impact sensor. The gas charge is replaced with an OEM component certified by the original manufacturer’s inspections.
Tampering with the seat belt voids the warranty. All repaired seat belts must be installed and handled by certified technicians or mechanics.
1.3 Airbag Module Reset
Our airbag module reset service erases all stored data, including soft codes, hard codes, and crash data. We work exclusively with the memory chip of the SRS airbag module where this data is stored. Other chips in the module may contain unrelated data and could be damaged, causing the module to fail.
We guarantee our reset service will erase all crash data and hard codes stored in the chip. Upon delivery, the airbag module must be installed with the battery disconnected and all SRS components properly repaired or replaced.
Important Limitations:
- Our service is limited to erasing crash codes only.
- We cannot repair modules if they are faulty.
- We cannot program modules to your vehicle VIN.
- Sometimes a module may communicate and allow us to erase crash history, but once installed in the vehicle, it may still show as faulty. This is not due to the service.
2. Evaluation & Troubleshooting Assistance
MyAirbags may offer troubleshooting steps or require additional diagnostics to help identify whether the failure is related to the original repair or external causes.
Customers are expected to cooperate with these steps prior to refund approval.
MyAirbags cannot guarantee the accuracy or comprehensiveness of information provided for troubleshooting, and is not responsible for incorrect diagnoses performed by third parties.
3. Refund Eligibility, Coverage, Exclusions & Limitations
Warranty is void if the unit is tampered with, installed incorrectly, damaged during shipping, or replaced independently.
If a refund is approved:
- The refund amount will equal the original repair fee paid to MyAirbags, excluding shipping and handling.
- Shipping charges are not refundable.
- Rush Service charges are non-refundable after 90 days.
- Bench test fees are non-refundable.
Exclusions
Refunds will not be issued when:
- The issue is caused by improper installation, unrelated wiring, failed systems outside the repaired component, or physical damage after service.
- The customer replaces the unit before contacting MyAirbags or sending it back for diagnosis.
- Proof of purchase for a replacement unit is not provided when required.
- Troubleshooting steps recommended by MyAirbags Tech Support were not attempted.
Airbag Module Reset Limitations
- Our service is limited to erasing crash codes only.
- We cannot repair modules if they are faulty.
- We cannot program modules to your vehicle VIN.
- Sometimes a module may communicate and allow us to erase crash history, but once installed in the vehicle, it may still show as faulty. This is not due to the service.
- If the module must be replaced, MyAirbags requires:
- A copy of the receipt for the replacement unit or
- Documentation from a certified mechanic/dealer stating the module is faulty to approve a refund.
Return Shipping
For U.S. Customers:
If the RMA is approved, during the first 90 days, shipping is covered both ways. MyAirbags will generate a FedEx return label for sending the unit back under warranty.
After 90 days, the customer is responsible for shipping both to and from MyAirbags.
For International Customers:
MyAirbags cannot generate return shipping labels for international returns.
Customers are responsible for shipping the unit both to and from MyAirbags.
4. Rush Service
Rush Service is optional and accelerates the repair process.
- Rush Service is not guaranteed. If MyAirbags does not meet the rush timeframe, the fee will be removed.
- Rush Service applies only to the repair process, not shipping.
- Rush Service fees are non-refundable after 90 days.
5. Liability Release & Cap

- After evaluation, MyAirbags will determine whether a refund or rework is appropriate.
